Add a splash of light in the dark night

Hanging lanterns are just amazing pieces of garden accessories. You can find these in many sizes and shapes. I’d suggest you get something round and big enough to fit a fairly big candle. You can also go with street style lights if your patio is connected with a garden. That way you can accentuate certain points of your backyard at night. If you want the lanterns to be in colour, choose something in a strong hue, like navy blue or red. Or, if your seating furniture is elegant, go with a neutral one, like beige for example.

Break the boredom

Don’t keep it too classic – your patio is the space that allows for a little décor play. For example, watering cans can serve for more than just carrying water. You can place them besides your planters with flowers on the ground and create a small flower garden corner beside the seating set.
